The Straight Answer

Wetherspoons Vouchers

There is no Wetherspoons discount code, loyalty card or student discount. There are CAMRA real-ale tokens, the odd newspaper promotion, and deals tied to the day of the week. This page separates the two.

Wetherspoons Vouchers That Are Real

Three things exist. Here is exactly what each covers.

CAMRA Real Ale Vouchers

Tokens issued to CAMRA members in their membership pack, each redeemable against a pint of real ale.

Where From
Given out by CAMRA, not by the pub. You must be a member to get them.
Limits
Real ale only. Not valid on food, meal deals or non-ale drinks.

Newspaper Promotions

Occasional printed vouchers in national papers, usually money off a meal or a free drink with a main.

Where From
The paper itself, when a promotion is running. There is no permanent schedule.
Limits
One per person, dated, and typically excluded from deal days.

Gift Cards

Not a discount, but the one piece of stored value the brand does issue.

Where From
Bought from the brand and spent like cash.
Limits
Pays the bill, does not reduce it.

What Does Not Exist

Commonly claimed elsewhere, and wrong. Checked against what the brand publishes and what the app and till actually accept.

Often ClaimedStatusWhat Is Actually True
Discount codes Does Not Exist The app and the till take no promo code. There is no field to enter one.
A loyalty or points card Does Not Exist No scheme exists. Spending is not tracked or rewarded.
Student discount Does Not Exist Not offered. A student card gets you nothing at the bar.
Blue Light or NHS discount Does Not Exist Not offered as a national scheme.
Birthday freebies Does Not Exist No sign-up, no email list, nothing sent on your birthday.
A happy hour Does Not Exist None. The 2pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday afternoon deal is the nearest thing.

If you find a code that works, it is not from Wetherspoons. This site is independent and has no way to issue one either.

The Savings That Are Real

Day-based deals, the afternoon window and Ale Club, with prices.

Wetherspoons deals

How To Actually Pay Less

Since there is nothing to redeem, the only lever is timing. Each weekday carries its own deal: Monday for small plates, Tuesday for gourmet burgers, Wednesday for 11 inch pizzas, Thursday for classic curries, and the afternoon deal covers 2pm to 5pm, monday to friday. Going on the right day for what you want to eat is worth more than any voucher would be.

The second lever is where. Prices are set per pub, not nationally. Prices vary by pub. Across 24 pubs we checked, the same dish differed by 31% on average, and London, airport and station pubs are typically dearer. Across 810 UK pubs that gap is worth more than most coupons, and you can see it before you travel on the store locator.

Voucher Questions

Only two kinds worth knowing about: CAMRA real-ale tokens, which come with CAMRA membership and are redeemable against a pint of real ale, and occasional newspaper promotions. There is no general voucher, discount code or coupon.
No. Neither the app nor the till has anywhere to enter a code. Any site offering one is either describing a different chain or making it up. The genuine savings are the day-based deals.
No. There is no student, NHS, Blue Light or over-60s scheme. The pricing model is one low price for everyone, which is also why there is no happy hour.
They come in the CAMRA membership pack rather than from the pub. Each is worth a pint of real ale, hand it over at the bar when you order. They do not apply to food, to a club night or to keg beer, cider, wine or spirits.
Generally not. Deal prices and vouchers do not stack, and a CAMRA token is for a pint rather than a meal in any case. Pick whichever is worth more on the day.
No. Nothing tracks what you spend and nothing accrues. If you want the bill lower, the lever is which day you go, Monday is Monday Club, Tuesday is Tuesday Club, Wednesday is Pizza Club, Thursday is Curry Club.
The app is for ordering to your table, not for offers. It shows the same prices as the bar and carries no coupons or member pricing. How the app works.
