Getting The Most Out Of It
2pm to 5pm is the gap between the lunch and evening rushes. Arrive at 2pm and you will usually walk straight to a table.
Monday to Friday. There is no weekend equivalent, so a Saturday afternoon is full menu price.
A club night is a day-long deal and the afternoon deal is a time-limited one. On a Monday to Thursday you pick whichever is cheaper for what you want, not both.
Wetherspoon's standing prices are already low, which is precisely why it runs no happy hour. Ale Club, Monday to Wednesday, is the closest thing to one.
Why There Is No Wetherspoons Happy Hour
A happy hour exists to move trade into a quiet hour by cutting prices for that hour only. Wetherspoon's whole model runs the other way: keep prices low all day, every day, and let volume do the work. That is why a search for a happy hour turns up nothing official, and why the pages that claim to list one are guessing.
What replaces it is the pattern above: a weekday afternoon deal in the genuinely quiet window, and four day-long club nights that need no timing at all. If you want the cheapest possible visit, the day you go matters far more than the hour.
