Why This Site Exists

Finding out what a meal at Wetherspoons costs should be simple, and it is not. The company publishes a separate menu PDF for every pub, prices differ from town to town, and the pages that turn up in a search are mostly years out of date or quietly invented. Ask a simple question. What is on the curry menu, what time does breakfast stop, is there a happy hour? You get four different answers.

This site is an attempt to put one accurate version in one place. Every price and calorie figure is read from the brand's own published menu. Every pub, address and opening time comes from the brand's own pub directory. Where a number genuinely varies by pub we say so and show the range, rather than picking one and presenting it as the price.

Just as importantly, it says what is not true. There is no Wetherspoons happy hour, no discount code, no loyalty card and no student discount, and a good deal of the content written about this brand claims otherwise. Being right about the absences matters as much as being right about the prices.

How We Get Our Data

Four sources, all public and all the brand's own or official. No scraped competitor content.

The Published Menu

Prices and calories come from the menu PDF the brand publishes for each pub. We read 24 of them, then use the one carrying a near-complete list as the source of record, currently The Angel Inn in Wetherby.

The Brand’s Own Pub Directory

Pub names, addresses, postcodes, phone numbers and opening hours come from the brand's public pub directory, not from a third-party aggregator.

Official Announcements

Club night days, prices and pub counts come from the brand's own published announcements rather than from other menu sites.

GOV.UK For Bank Holidays

Bank holiday dates are computed for the current year from the official rules, including Easter and the substitute-day rules that differ between England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

What "Updated" Means On A Page

Every page carries a single date, shown once and used everywhere: in the page heading, in the meta description and in the structured data a search engine reads. It is the date that page was last reviewed against the source data on a scheduled rebuild, not a number that ticks forward on its own to look fresh. Different kinds of page are reviewed on different cycles, because a menu section changes more often than a privacy policy does.

Prices are the one thing worth repeating a warning about. Across 24 pubs we compared, the same dish differed by 31% on average, and London, airport and station pubs sit at the top of the range. The figure on a dish page is a real published price from a real pub. It is not a promise about the pub you are walking into.

What We Are Not

Independent site. Not affiliated with Wetherspoons or J D Wetherspoon plc.

  • We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Wetherspoons or J D Wetherspoon plc.
  • We cannot take orders, bookings, complaints or refunds, and we have no access to any pub's systems.
  • Wetherspoons, Curry Club and all related names and logos are trademarks of their owners, used here only to describe what the pages are about.
  • For anything official, including complaints, feedback, careers and corporate matters, go to Wetherspoons' own contact page.

Who Runs This

Wetherspoons-Menus.co.uk is run by a small independent editorial team rather than by a named individual. We would rather say that plainly than put a stock photograph and an invented biography at the bottom of the page, which is a common practice on sites in this niche and worth nothing to you as a reader.

What is worth something is the method: public sources only, every figure traceable to the brand's own published material, and an explicit note wherever the data cannot support a firm answer. If you want to know how a particular number was arrived at, ask and we will tell you.

Corrections

Menus change, pubs re-price and opening hours move. If something here is wrong, we want to know and we will fix it. A correction is more useful to us than a compliment. Tell us which page, what it says and what it should say, and if you can, which pub you saw it in, since a price that looks wrong is often just a different pub.
