Wetherspoons Curries Menu

The Wetherspoons curry menu lists 11 dishes from £8.32 to £10.54, arranged in three groups that carry three different prices. Classic curries are the full serving: chicken tikka masala, chicken jalfrezi, beef Madras and a sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry, all at £10.54 and served with basmati pilau rice, plain naan and poppadums.

The Simple range is the same four curries stripped back to rice or chips, at £8.32. Two pounds separates them and the difference is the bread and poppadums rather than the curry itself, so the Simple line is the better value order for anyone who was going to leave the naan anyway.

Katsu curries are the third group at £9.43, built on a mild Japanese style sauce with coconut flavour rice. Katsu grilled chicken curry is the lightest thing in this section at 558 kcal, and a Katsu Quorn nugget curry covers the meat free order at £9.43.

Thursday is Curry Club, which reprices this entire section for the day. Every Wetherspoons curry price here comes from the published menu and varies by pub, so check your local. The full menu has the rest.

Curry Club And Which Group To Order From

Thursday changes everything about this page. Curry Club puts any classic curry with two poppadums, a naan and a drink at a single price, which sits below the menu price of the curry on its own. Ordering a classic curry on a Thursday is close to the best value transaction in the building, and ordering one on a Wednesday is not. The Curry Club page carries the price, the number of pubs running it and the arithmetic against each dish.

Outside Thursday the choice is between the three groups. Classic gives you the full accompaniment. Simple gives you the curry with rice or chips at £8.32, and the calorie figures show what the difference costs you: Simple chicken tikka masala is 672 kcal against 1032 kcal for the classic version of the same dish. Katsu is a different flavour entirely rather than a cheaper or richer version of the others. Across the section calories average 776 kcal and run from 552 to 1084.
